The layout of the bed, is a traditional slide out bed that sits are the rear of the van up against the rear doors.
This design provides and uninterrupted under-bed storage area, so you can keep your gear neatly stowed away and gain access to it from the front or rear of the bed.
These beds are currently available in three different widths: 900mm, 1120mm and 1500mm.
900mm - This variant is perfect for the Mazda Bongo and similarly sized vehicle
1120mm - Our most popular variant which is designed for the VW Transporter, but also suits other similar sized vans, such as the Renault Trafic, Mercedes Vito and Ford Transit Custom
1500mm - A full width version for the same range of vans as the 1120mm variant.

This bed frame locks into its seating position by way of a simple centralised locking latch.
With this latch released, the operation of the bed is by pressing a two way switch (one way for down, one way for up).
Our actuator then pushes or pulls the bed into position without the operator needing to make any effort.
The bed frame itself rolls on heavy duty bearings (static load rating of over 340kg per bearing), which offer low rolling resistance and should it ever be needed, are easy to replace.
The mechanism has very little to go wrong. With simple reliable bearings, they won't fall apart, the electric actuator is rated with a push force of nearly 460kg and a pull force of just over 250kg normal operation will not be a problem.

What Powers the Electrics?
The bed should be connected to the 12v leisure battery system of your van.
Are the electrics just another thing to go wrong?
In some respects yes, but in our experience our actuator is just as reliable as a gas strut assisted bed.
What do i do if the actuator breaks?
In the unlikely event of an actuator failure, it can be removed easily by way of two clevis pins.
The bed can then be used manually until it is repaired or replaced.
To date, the worst we have encountered is a blown fuse. Simply replace it and away you go.
Is the mechanism reliable?
Slide out R&R beds have been popular for years because they are reliable and easy to use, ours is no different, but is more easy to use.
Because we use roller bearings, should anything ever require repair or replacement, then we only need to replace the individual item rather than dismantle the bed to access parts.
Why don't you use "draw runners"?
This is a conscious decision by us. While plenty of companies successfully use a "drawer runner" style bearing system for the bed to slide open with, we have seen a number of these collapse and become un-operable.
This leaves the customer with a jammed bed that will likely need to be removed and dismantled to correct, which, if out of warranty, could be expensive.
We have chosen to keep with roller bearings because their individual weight rating is high and it means, if we did ever need to replace one it can be done swiftly and at minimal impact to the customer.
